Every single planet in our solar system is a sphere and is named after either Greek god or a Roman god except one, Earth. In our solar system we have eight planets excluding the dwarf planets. We have 5 dwarf planets that we know of. Did you know that the sun takes up 98% of the Solar System's mass?
Here is an easy method for remembering which order the planets go in from the closest to the furthest from the Sun:
Mercury / My
Venus / Very
Earth / Easy
Mars / Method
Jupiter / Just
Saturn / Speeds
Uranus / Up
Neptune / Naming
Pluto / Planets
Although scientists today have said that Pluto isn't big enough to be called a planet, when this method was made Pluto was still considered a planet. So if we took it away, it wouldn't make sense and then there is no point in this clever rhyme.
